Association of Fiver Rivers in collaboration with Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA) awarded Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes with “CULINARY PATH FINDER AWARD – 2017”. This award acknowledges the remarkable achievement made by PCTE – IHM for launching “Green Cuisine” at its Hospitality & Tourism Conclave organized in the month of March 2017. Dishes like Kerela & Broccoli Halwa, Kerela Dum Biryani, Cream Soup of Sarson ka Saag & Makki Croissant, Green peas falafel, Avocado Hummus were launched. The Green Cuisine was launched after 2 years of research by the entire team of Hotel Management. The idea behind it was to develop a cuisine that is way healthier & beneficial.
The award was received by Chef Anirban Gupta, Dean, PCTE – IHM on behalf of Dr. Kang at K L Saigal Memorial Hall, Jalandhar. Eminent Chefs of IFCA, Hotel, Institutional Chefs and aspiring young chefs from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, J & K, and Chandigarh participated in the grand event.
PCTE till date has received 28 National and International Awards. Earlier this year the Institute was awarded with Education Leadership Award 2016 by Dewang Mehta Business School Awards also it has been rated among the Best B-Schools of the country by Outlook & various other business journals.
Dr. K N S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the students and faculty members for their sincere and committed efforts. Dr. Kang said that we at PCTE work towards overall development of the students and faculty so that they can compete with the best in this competitive environment. He further said that these awards are the results of continuous efforts and performance of our students, who are working at top positions in the leading corporate houses of the country. He added that PCTE is known not only at national level but also internationally as well, he quoted that more than 230 International students from 37 countries are studying at PCTE.
