farmers who protested against the government through, ‘ Gaon Bandh (Village shutdown ) which started at June 1, Friday will be withdrawn by the farmers on June 6, Wednesday.
This was decided in a meeting by the leaders of farmer association, Bharti Kisan Union on Monday at Circuit House, Ludhiana. They put forward their views about the ongoing protest by the farmers.
Leaders said that they have given a silent protest and contributed a lot to the economy from Friday onwards.
Members of PDFA has decided that they have withdrawn the protest by four days as the protest will still continue till June 6. Kisan Union has appealed the farmers to maintain discipline till then.
