Punjab Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), PAU campus, Ludhiana is all set to organize a one day training programme on “Smart Home Gardening” for nature lovers from all walks of life. Training is scheduled to be held on 7th July, 2018.
Dr H S Dhaliwal, Director PAMETI while explaining the reason for planning such programme said that Gardening is not only fun but good for own health as well as environment. One can enjoy the process of regularly tending of plants, flowers and fruits and at the same time it results in satisfying end results. One can also save money and improve health by gardening and growing fruits at home.
He informed that the one day course would include topics like developing & managing smart home garden, terrace gardening, proper selection, placement & maintenance of pots, indoor plants selection & maintenance and pesticide free production of seasonal fruits at home. The training would be provided by Dr Balwinder Singh Lakhewali who is an environmentalist and working as Deputy Director at PAMETI. He added that such programs would help in keeping our micro ecosystem green & improve our health. Last date for registration is 5th July, 2018. Further information may be collected from www.pau.edu
