Staff and guests rejoiced the spirit of the festive season with a cake-mixing ceremony at Hyatt Regency Ludhiana

Ludhiana, (September 28, 2019) -Hyatt Regency Ludhiana kick started festive season with traditional cake mixing ceremony at Kitchen at 95. The ceremony was driven by head Chef Sandip Patil and manager food and beverage Ashwani Kaushik.

Chef advised that, “ Traditionally cake mixing or fruit soaking is an ancient western custom that celebrates the bounty of harvest and rings in the spirit of Christmas. Families gather together to mix ingredients for the pudding. Everyone takes a turn to stir the pudding/cake mix as it is supposed to bring good luck”.

To bring the tradition alive Hyatt Regency Ludhiana invited hotel patrons, residents and associates to witness and be a part of festivity. Dry nuts , orange peel, raisins, cherries, cinnamon, dry ginger, etc were soaked in juices, wines and other spirits. Now these fruits will seep in all the aromas till December and then mixture would be used around Christmas to make cakes and puddings. “Christmas is always about overflowing joy and happiness, we are delighted to be a part of this ceremony.” said a guest.
